Porous Package:
The silica beads are packaged in clear plastic packets with tiny holes to allow moisture to pass through; if you would like the packets to work faster, you can poke a few more holes with a needle. All packets ready-to-use upon receipt.
TIPS:
1. The silica gel packets are not designed for open environments. Most effective in sealed jars, containers, bins, safes, bags, boxes and bottles, etc.
2. Use extra packets if the moisture content of the surrounding goods is high.
3. Discard the packets when they’re no longer working and replace with new ones.
4. Store the unused packets in the sealed bag to maintain dryness.
Food Safe:
Great for storing medicines, vitamins, seeds, nuts, beef jerky, snacks, cookies and pet foods. Food moisture absorber packets will prevent clumping of salt or sugar. Good for preserving chips, crackers, and cereal.
