The mount is designed with a RAM 1 inch diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment point at the cradle and base. With a twist of the arm knob, you can move the Garmin GPSMAP x76 x78 and x96 series (including GPSMAP 176, 176C, 196, 276C, 296, 376C, 378C and 478C) mount to your optimum viewing position.
