Standard size chrome postcard shows the small Cypress Gardens Queen boat, filled with passengers, going down the waterway in Cypress Gardens, Florida. Behind it, a man takes a photo of the Queen sitting on her throne. She, as well as another employee at right, wear fancy Southern belle costumes. Florida's first theme park started as a garden by Dick Pope and his wife Julie, and opened in 1936 in Winter Haven, FL. Famous for its gardens, Southern belles and water ski shows until it closed in 2009, making way for Legoland. Unused; excellent condition.
