Detailed Background Information 

Rare large two page centerspread (all one sheet, not two separate pages) of Jo Siffert driving the winning Porsche 908/02 that he co-drove to victory with Brian Redman at the 1969 ADAC 1000 km endurance race.  This large, oversized (18.5 X 12.25") print shows a closeup image of Siffert at speed on the famous Nurburgring circuit.  The field competing at the 14.67 mile Nurburgring Eifel circuit in 1965 was competitive, with a strong field of factory Porsche and Alfa Romeo entrants.  The entry list reads like a road racing hall of fame with other drivers including Pedro Rodriguez, Chris Amon, Jo Bonnier, Jacky Ickx, Jackie Oliver, Nino Vaccarella, Vic Elford, Richard Attwood, David Hobbs, Rolf Stommelen, Hans Hermann, Mike Hailwood, David Piper, driving cars such as the Porsche 917, 910, 911, 908, 907, and 906; Alfa Romeo T33/2, Ferrari 312 P and Dino 206 S, Mirage M2, Lola T70, Ford GT 40, Chevron, and Abarth 2000 SP.
