Very beautiful missal of 1786 enterely written in black and red charachters with faboulous decorated initial letters, at least 1 for page (excluding Gregorian music).
Inside the text there are four beautiful full page engravings representing some religious scenes (annunciation, nativity engraved by Antonio Baratti, crucifission, resurrection).
Very beautiful vignette in the title page featuring Saint Peter in Rome.
At the beginning three introductions dedicated to the memories of the three Popes that wrote it (Pio V; Clemente VIII; Urbano VIII) and a sort of introduction to the work with some charts indicating the liturgic calendar which indicates the part of the missal to be read.
There are also Proprium Missarum de Santis, in festo Annuntiationis B. Mariae Virginis, in festo omnium Sanctorum, Commune Sanctorum.
There are pages and pages of Gregorian music inside including the score with chant of "Benedictio Fontis"..
The missal if of 1786, but there is an adding "In festo B. M. V. Humilitatis" of 19th century.
At the end concession to publishing dated 1785 byt he inquisitor Giovanni Tommaso Mascheroni.

It was a text that was normally used, so we find some signs of usage as restoration signs, rare wax signs and rare dirt's signs.
In good conditions.
Full leather cover of the XVIII century with five nerfs gilted decorations in good conditions with wearings in the extremities. Binding in good general conditions. Last page partially dteached. Inside pages are in good conditions with usage signs, occasional foxings, wax and dirt's signs. Restauration sign in the lower right corner of pag. 253 and 255, 333 and 335 with no loss of text.
