Universal Receiver Drier Bottle Upright
An upright design of receiver/drier bottle for use within mid-sized vehicles or smaller.
The receiver/drier bottle (also called filter/driers or receiver/dehydrators) are a key component within the Air Conditioning system to filter the refrigerant and to act as temporary storage for when the system is running at low demand. As well as a filter element for catching debris the bottle contains a desiccant to absorb moisture that may be within the system, water can sometimes enter during manufacturing processes, assembly or servicing via humidity in the air. Excess moisture can cause damage via corrosion or the breakdown of the oils used to lubricate the compressor.
Please note that the bottles come pre-sealed to prevent moisture ingress, please do not remove the caps until you are ready to connect the hoses and charge the system.
This Receiver Dryer Bottle comes with a secondary 1/8" NPT Port that can be used to connect a pressure switch or charging valve.
