Ball Bearing Kit for TAMIYA R/C Cars - ZZ (Metal Shield)
Unquestionably one of the most popular and effective upgrades for R/C cars, ball bearings are widely considered a must-have 'Hop-Up'.
Benefits of ball bearings include reduced friction for greater efficiency, increased speeds, extended running times and reduced stresses on other components. Additionally, not only are ball bearings resistant to wear - an inherent problem with conventional bushings - their use prevents avoidable wear to components rotating within them, such as axles, gear shafts, steering linkages etc.
Metal shield bearings (commonly abbreviated ZZ) incorporate a metal closure on either side which do not have contact with the inner race, or ring. The primary benefit of such bearings is that they operate with virtually zero friction. However, there is a trade-off in that metal shields do not form a perfect seal, meaning that very tiny particles of dirt may enter the bearing. Metal shield bearings are particularly well suited and recommended for on-road use.
This complete kit is designed to replace all plastic and copper bushings with superior ball race bearings.
NOTE: The four 1510 bearings are not metal shielded, rather they are rubber shielded bearings (2RS).

For the most part, delivery is fulfilled by the Royal Mail and may thus be attempted Monday to Saturday. Unfortunately we are unable to provide a specific delivery time.
International deliveries will be handled by the Royal Mail only within the UK. Once the Goods have been handed to the overseas postal service, no tracking information will be available until a signature is obtained on delivery.
Please note that all items must be returned within 30 days of receipt. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer; we are unable to reimburse such expenses.
A refund will be processed only on receipt of the returned item. It is thus encouraged that all items are returned using a tracked postal service.
