The Storm Series AC power cables are amongst the latest developments from AudioQuest. These high-end power cables are a design collaboration between Bill Low and Garth Powell. The Thunder High-Current combines the Perfect Surface Copper (PSC) and Long-Grain Copper (LGC) which is claimed to eliminate harshness and improve clarity compare to other types of Copper including OCC, 8N types. AudioQuest Thunder is capable of delivering 20 amps RMS @ 125VAC 50/60Hz (16 amps RMS @ 220-240VA 50/60Hz) and suited to many higher current applications such as power amplifiers, AC power regenerators, power conditioners, power regenerators, powered subwoofers, loudspeakers, receivers, integrated amplifiers etc.
  • A carefully finessed combination of solid high-purity Long-Grain Copper (LGC) and high-purity Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) conductors prevent strand interaction, a major source of ear fatiguing transient intermodulation distortion. LGC allows a smoother and clearer sound than standard OFHC (Oxygen-Free-High-Conductivity) copper.
  • AudioQuest 's patented Ground-Noise Dissipation greatly reduces this distortion, yielding unprecedented levels of noise dissipation across the widest bandwidth (range) of radio frequencies possible. AudioQuest's unique circuit-topology utilizes a common-mode phase-cancelling array, in concert with proprietary dielectric materials which provide additional differential linear filtering.
  • By creating a constant dielectric field for the cable 's primary capacitance field or dielectric, DBS (Dielectic-Bias System) assures extended bandwidth and more evenly filtered noise dissipation, eliminating the distortions and ringing that plague other cables even after years of use and so called “run-in time." In addition, DBS assures that the RF Noise-Dissipation System works as linearly as possible.
  • All drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from where it will cause distortion.

If an item doesn't meet your expectations, you may return or exchange it in its original condition and packaging within 30 days for a full refund, minus shipping fees & a 15% restocking fee. If the item was shipped for free then the actual shipping cost incurred by Audio Advice for shipment to and from customer will be deducted from the refund amount. If merchandise is not returned in its original condition or is missing packaging, manuals, accessories or other parts, such that it has impaired the resale value of the product, a partial refund will be given and calculated on a case-by-case basis.
