 Dedicated to the steps - a monetary value of the Ukrainian People's Republic equaling 1/100 hryvnia and was issued in the form of brands at the nominal value of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 steps. The steps were pre-conceived only as postage stamps. But in the time of the Central Council in Ukraine, there was a sharp shortage of small payment signs, the need for which grew month in a month. On the basis of the law of the Central Council of April 18, 1918, stamps-shackles were issued that were used instead of coins that disappeared from circulation.

On the obverse of the coin there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine, to the right of which are the inscriptions UKRAINE / 2018, under which the fragment of the mark of 30 steps is reproduced, on the left there is the face value of 5 ГРИВЕНЬ (the vertical inscription) and the inscriptions: 1918, HAPPY / WONDERFUL / WITH CRAZY / COIN; The logo of the Banknote-Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine (below).

On the reverse of the coin on a mirror background there is a color image of the mark of 50 steps (used tampon printing) and inscriptions: FIRST STAMPS OF THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC (in a circle), 100 YEARS (below).
