We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful Victorian Merklen Brothers Barley Twist Library Table. It has a drawer on the end with a cast iron handle that is all original. It has barley twist or rope braided molding along the skirt and rectangular top. It is either cherry or mahogany as it has a light brown color. It has four flared barley twist legs that end in a detail metal and wooden ball claw foot. It has large turnings on the four corner posts and the barley twist cross stretchers with side supports. The overall size is 40 inches wide, 28 inches deep and 31 inches high. The height of the cross stretcher is approximately 9 inches. It appears to be in original finish with minor nicks and dings on the top. It could use a good oil job. This size table is hard to find from Merklen. Shipping starts at $285 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
