The stamps depict the following great men in art, music, literature and medicine:
  • Jacques Callot (1592-1635), etcher and engraver;
  • Hector Berlioz (1803-1869), composer;
  • Victor Hugo (1802-1885), poet;
  • Louis Pasteur (1822-1895), bacteriologist.
