High Reliability
After years of continuous improvements in product technology, Hobbywing launches XR8 on the market, the controller with the strongest hardware and the most performing software that no other controller has ever had. Not only is it capable of delivering unmatched power, it is also protected from damage caused by overloads. Its reliability has greatly improved.
Dynamic Timing control program
The first 1/8 regulator to adopt dynamic timing technology which was very successful for the 1/10 On-road scale. This increases power delivery without underestimating efficiency. (Note: currently sensored dynamic timing technology is only applicable to 2-pole motors and it is necessary to set the controller to “pure sensored” mode).
Advanced and safe electronic switch
The electronic switch with a duration of over 50,000 on / off operations completes the waterproof and dust-proof design of the regulator. The problems caused by rust, mud and accidental shutdowns caused by violent impacts are completely solved. To ensure compatibility with TRAXXAS frames we have added some holes on the controller case.
Reliable cooling system
The power supply board in the regulator is covered with a patented copper bar that favors the conduction of heat from the inside towards the CNC-machined aluminum heatsink. Additionally, the fan uses a shockproof design that reduces damage from frequent hopping. Such a highly reliable cooling system ensures optimum operation and cooling for the controller.
Automatic switch mode
The controller will automatically change the driving mode between sensored and sensorless modes according to the real time of motion of the engine sensor to ensure normal operation and avoid unpleasant withdrawals from the race due to incorrect sensor signals.
Integrated BEC
The first 1/8 regulator that uses the integrated BEC with the maximum power output of 15A and a modifiable voltage of 6V / 7.2V. It can easily command several servos, even high voltage servos, so the pilot can control the movements and directions of their model precisely and quickly.
Zero maintenance
The regulator, except for the fan, is maintenance-free. It is necessary to remove the fan cover to replace the fan itself, a simple, fast operation and far from the complications of integrated fans.
