Up for auction is one custom upgraded A1470 Airport Time Capsule 5th Gen
Unfortunately hard drives don't last forever, and most original drives in Apple's Time Capsules are long past their best-by date, and run the risk of crashing at any moment, potentially ruining your time machine backups.
Listing is priced for a 12TB drive. If you'd like a smaller capacity drive make an offer and include the size in your notes.
This unit has been:
- Completely disassembled and cleaned
- the fan was also disassembled and lubricated
- upgraded with a brand new NAS or Enterprise grade Hard drive, as well as cleaned inside and out and tested to make sure everything still works.
- carefully reassembled
I ran a time machine backup on it with one of my mac minis and it had no problem completing it. I then erased the disk and reset the time capsule to its default settings.
You will receive:
- (1) 12TB A1470 Apple Airport Time Capsule - a 12TB (or your choice) NAS or enterprise quality hard drive.
- (1) Power cord
There will be a 2-3 day lead time before shipment so you will have a new drive with the longest possible manufacturer warranty included.
