I suspect this silk tapestry is 70+ years old. The

landscape scene is inspired by an Oshinohakkai village view. See last photo. What makes this silk tapestry so special is the size. Most are small. This is the largest example I have seen at 38” wide by 21” tall. I replaced the tattered paper backing and thoroughly cleaned the glass and frame. No issues to note. The frame is original so the tapestry has been protected under glass ever since.
