Finish: We finish our furniture grade solid European oak
with an ultra-durable, satin-matte clear lacquer for hardwearing lasting
protection for years of use. The clear lacquer preserves the beauty of the
natural oak features like medullary rays and subtle fleck. Every piece is
unique.
Oak can also be stained. We use industry leading light-fast
wood stain for their depth and richness of colour prior to protecting with a
clear lacquer.
Sustainability: We exclusively source the oak that we use
to handcraft our furniture from sustainably managed forests certified by the
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
UK Delivery: All our furniture is handmade to order. We aim
to deliver within 2-3 weeks following payment.
The free UK delivery covers most UK mainland addresses,
except to Wales, Cornwall, Scotland, NE, CA, DH, SR, TS, LA, DL and YO
postcodes where there will be a small additional charge which will be advised
following order placement.
Collection is available from Chichester, West Sussex.
We can deliver to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight, the
Isle of Man, the Highlands, Northern Scotland, Scottish Isles or the Channel
Islands. However, you would need to contact us to obtain the cost of delivery
to these areas. If our delivery quote is not cost efficient, then we can
deliver free to a nominated mainland GB address e.g. a port. Further transport
and responsibility for the items will belong to the customer from this point
onwards. Blue Island Home will not be able to accept any responsibility for any
damage or loss caused in shipping overseas. Alternatively some of our further
afield customers find it can be more cost efficient to arrange collection from
Blue Island Home (PO19 7BJ) to them. If that is something you would like to
explore and look at shipping options yourself, please let us know and we will
send you the packed dimensions.
