Vintage
Air Conditioner
Compressor Tool
Part # 200334 & A9689

This item was purchased at an estate sale from a gentleman in Alabama who had a 40 year career as a Shop Foreman in an Auto & Truck Repair garage. Since it was "in his blood" he also took his skills home with him and did "shade tree" work for his neighbors and friends. Over the course of his long career in the automotive industry he collected a massive inventory of special tools and NOS vintage parts. A few years ago we were able to purchase his collection and are delighted to be offering them to the eBay community.

You will quickly notice the quality and condition of the items. He purchased only first quality tools and the best brands of parts. His inventory included a lot of Chevrolet parts, some Mopar items and a few Ford products. Literally, the inventory likely includes over ten thousand parts! The amazing thing about his collection was the vast amount of unique tools (Specialty tools, dealership tools, one of a kind items, discontinued tools, etc.). Visit our store to see a very small sampling of the massive collection.

Description: This sale is for one Air Conditioner Tool. It appears to be a compressor clutch tool but we are not an expert in this field so any information will be helpful. The previous owner had engraved "A9689" on arm of the tool and used a sharpie to write the number "200334" on the opposite side.

Catalog Title: The factory air conditioning catalog did not provide any information for this tool due to the uncertainty of the brand for the tool.

Condition: The tool appears to be NOS or perhaps slightly used.

Dimensions:The dimensions are 7.25" long by 4.5" wide.

Shipping: We use the USPS flat rate packages for most of our items. Each item will be packed well to insure safe arrival at your location.

My Background

Hi, my name is Mark Sain and I've been a car guy for many years. Here's a bit of my story:

At a used car lot in a small middle Tennessee town the 'car bug' bit and I have been infected with this disease for over fifty years. The father of one of my high school friends was a co-owner in the dealership, which allowed me the opportunity to grow up around these classic cars. One of my first drives was an SS Impala, which has a way of hooking you for life! When you were in the graduating class of 1967 you were born to love the muscle cars of that era.

Over the last four decades I have bought, sold, restored and collected cars from every vintage. There was a Cadillac LaSalle, some Ford Mustangs, a sweet 1953 MG-TD, several Corvettes, a few pickups, and even a 1926 Studebaker! This diversified experience has included owning approximately 150 cars in the last forty-three years!

Within the last twenty years it has been my pleasure to concentrate more on collectible parts as I have personally witnessed how hard it is to find good quality, original parts for a vintage car. My travels have taken me to swap meets at Carlisle, Hershey, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Chicago, Moultrie, Louisville, etc. where I have built a relationship with other car hobby enthusiasts as a fair and reputable buyer and seller. I currently hold a ten-year certificate from Corvette Bloomington Gold for being a vendor at their prestigious event. As a result of these efforts, my warehouse now includes forty-two "parts cars" and shelves loaded with engines, drive train parts, body parts, trim pieces, accessories, etc. Most recently I have been specializing in one of the most classic cars from the sixties - the Oldsmobile Cutlass 442.

My family has lived in Florence for over 37 years where we have established a good reputation within the community. We own and operate five businesses in Florence, which enables me to devote my "hobby" time and energy to one of the real passions of my life. For me it has never changed. I grew up around the classic cars of the sixties and my wife jokingly says I have never grown up when it comes to these treasures.

We look forward to developing a relationship with you as we help you with your classic car.
