Park Metalware Company began business in the 1920s and became well-known for its innovative approach to the tools it made. Numerous Patents were issues for things imagined and created by Park. The company began branding it’s tools with the “Xcelite” name they became popular. “Xcelite” is known today as a brand of Cooper Tools.

These Nut Drivers appeared in the 1942 Park catalog (https://archive.org/details/XceliteToolsCatalog1942/page/n5/mode/2up) on page 6 and were presented in color. On page 12 of the same publication the more well-known “XCELITE Nut Drivers with Colored Handles”. Both varieties  bear the notation “PAT. APPLIED  FOR” suggesting both were relatively new innovations.

The Nut Drivers are the 6 Inch model. “Just the wrench for those jobs requiring a sturdy, accurate, extra-deep socket — deep enough to handle two nuts at once! * * *  Handles are genuine, shock-proof ‘XCELITE’”. The Five included Nut Drivers are; Nos. 11-11/32, 9-9/35, 8-1/4, 7-7/32, and 6-3/16.

The Nut Drivers have seen a lot of use. We made no effort to clean the Drivers other than to remove loose debris. Even after eighty years the Drivers are fully functional; shafts are tight and straight and hex openings are undamaged.

We will ship the Nut Drivers by USPS Priority Mail on the next regular business day following receipt of payment.
