Description
This is an almost uncirculated, "Shilingi Mia Moja" or 100 Shillings "Commemorative" note from the Central Bank of Kenya. It was issued to celebrate the nation's independence.
Jomo Kenyatta, pictured on the note, led Kenya to independence in 1963 and was elected the first Prime Minister of Kenya. He served in that office until 1964 when Kenya changed itself into a republic. He was then elected President and was still in office when he died in 1978.

The Note: A nearly uncirculated note. It has been gently bent and it has some wrinkles, but no creases. Fully crisp, it has no edge or body tears, and no pinholes.
