Gorgeous, LARGE 19TH CENTURY OAK PANELLED MULE CHEST WITH THREE DRAWERS W-143 CM.

This measures 34" High x 56" wide x 22¼" deep approx

This is a beautiful antique piece of furniture, this has the letters L & C carved into it either side of the lock. Would love to know who this was?!

The actual brass around the key hole has been changed at some time during its life, I don't have a key for this,

The 3 drawers are mostly missing handles as you can see in the pictures,

This does have evidence in one slat of old woodworm holes that are no longer active these are not visible unless you have the chest on its back!

The lid is heavy and has nothing stopping it going all the way over so it's best against a wall or something adding to it to prevent this happening,

This has marks, scratches, cracks, scuffs as you would expect for its age really! Also some marquetry missing from around the panels, some have been replaced but not brilliantly.

I absolutely love this Chest! So much character and wish it could talk of the things it's seen.

It is oak and therefore really quite heavy,

This could be used as it is or restored, although I think I might cry if someone was going to paint it!!
