Methods of replacing:
Remove the gasket and rub off old foam, apply contact cement (not included).
Center the surround evenly as you place it on cone.
Squeeze the inside of surround to cone with thumb on top and index finger up inside the frame, underneath
the surround and go around a few times until it adheres.
Apply elmers wood glue to outer frame, press down surround.
Re-glue gasket to outer surround.
Note: Please allow 1-5mm deviation due to manual measurement.

Tip:

It is convenient to adjust the density and thickness of the foam edge, so it is easy to adjust the low-frequency parameters such as the compliance of the speaker during design. Usually (with special exceptions) the sensitivity will be higher than that of the rubber edge, but lower than that of the cloth edge, and the sound of bass is plump and soft. The disadvantage is that it is easy to age and has a short lifespan. The rubber edge is usually heavier and less prone to fatigue and aging. However, it is inconvenient to adjust after the mold is formed, and the sensitivity is low. The cloth is dipped in rubber edge, which is more convenient to adjust, has high sensitivity, and has good fatigue resistance. The disadvantage is that in a high temperature environment, the selvage is easily deformed. The resonance frequency is not easily lowered.
