Montblanc released A Celebration Of The Taj Mahal as a homage to Shah Jahan who mandated the construction of the Taj Mahal in the golden era of the Moghul Empire, which the Taj Mahal is one of the world's most famous landmark and enduring symbols of devotion.

Champagne-tone gold with red lacquered inlays, mother-of-pearl, and diamonds featuring in a slightly curved shape design is inspired by a traditional Mughal dagger, an insignia of power.
The cap top is reminiscent of the dome of the Taj Mahal.
The forepart of the pen features an intricate display of traditional Mughal decorations.
While the edition does not feature a clip, a peacock feather adorns the front of this writing instrument, a reference to the peacock throne made for Shah Jahan in the early 17th century.
