Definition Tahitian Pearls |
: |
TAHITIAN PEARLS are grown in black-lipped pearl oysters (Pinctada margaritifera). The size of the oyster varies from 15 to 25 cm. It is known as variety cumingii in French Polynesia and variety galtsoffii in Hawai. Tahitian pearls don’t actually come from Tahiti, but rather from French Polynesia, and other small atolls throughout the South Pacific.
Tahitian pearls or “Black” pearls come in a variety of exotic colors. Tahitian pearls are gray to black with green, blue, rose or rainbow overtones and range from 10 to 18 mm in diameter. The largest Tahitian pearl every cultured is 26.9 millimeters in diameter.

Remarks |

This stunning Tahitian pearl is an inspiration from nature!
Since the dawn of civilization, pearls have been one of the most priced possessions of mankind. Like gold or jewels, they hold an irresistible allure for people as a symbol of rare beauty and wealth.
There were times when pearls were harvested one by one from wild oysters living under the sea. Today there are not many traditional divers that still search for natural pearls in this manner. Instead high-quality South Sea pearls are cultivated organically in farms in the pristine waters of Tahiti.
The color is natural and doesn’t have any enhancements.
This Tahitian black pearl is simply beautiful.
To touch this pearl is to touch the smoothness of silk!
This pearl is made by nature; nurtured by man, every individual pearl carries with it the adventure, a history and a story, unique only to pearls.
Don’t miss the opportunity to own this rare saltwater cultured Tahitian pearl |
