What we have offered here is One Collectible, NOW VINTAGE & EXTREMELY RARE, ORIGINAL WELLINGTON BALBOA SAN FRANCISCO FORD DEALERSHIP METAL LIGHTER in Good Gently Used Condition originally acquired back in 1964 , 58 years ago.

First off, if you are a Ford Owner, Collector and or Fan out there and are also into collecting Quality Made Metal Vintage lighter's produced in the past then this little gem of an item will catch your eye and attention.    

Here is what we know of this Unique Ford Metal Lighter that was produced long ago and collected in the past. My father received this actual lighter as a gift from one of his clients back in 1967/1968 who knew my father collected and restored Ford Vehicles for his personal enjoyment. The Client/Friend my father got this Lighter from back in the 60's long ago received this Unique Wellington Balboa Ford Crest Metal Lighter as a Keep sake gift item from an Edward N. Chan "Your Friendly Ford Man" from a San Francisco Ford Dealership after Special Ordering/Purchasing a 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang.  When he received the 64 1/2 Mustang back in 1964 that buyer of the car also received this at that time! This Popular style Made in Japan quality lighter from Wellington Balboa was something the Ford Sales Rep from that San Francisco Dealership had produced to give out to his repeat and good customers who ordered and purchased cars from him at back in the that era, 1950's and 1960's. I personally received this item as a gift from my father back in the mid 1980's when I was starting to collect everything Ford related. This Lighter had been in my fathers home office in an enclosed glass display case with other collectible Ford Stuff and later was put into my different display cases over these past years. Back in the 1980's I wanted to learn more about this actual lighter and the details of the actual 1964 1/2 Mustang that was ordered and received but came up empty handed because the client/friend my father had whom he received this from back in 1967/68 had passed on in the late 1970's with no known relatives to exist and or contact to inquire and ask more details about that Special Mustang Car that was purchased long ago and may now still be out there on the road being enjoyed. My father did mention that the client/friend he got this from long ago had purchased a couple hand fulls of different brand New Ford Vehicles from the same Ford guy, Mr. Chan back in the mid 1950's to mid 1960's an was revered by that Sales person and dealership as one of their better repeat customers. Over the years we have periodically checked to find another one offered like it and or also to look for info on that Sales Rep also, but have always come up empty and have never seen another one offered like it anywhere ever. Honestly, we wish we had more details about this Lighter other then what we mentioned here, but that is all we have to mention. 

Regardless of all that was mentioned above, without any of those specifics, for a collector of lighters and or original Ford items this Quality Metal Lighter made by Wellington Balboa with Ford Crest really is a cool collectible item. 

This Vintage Wellington Balboa Ford San Francisco Dealership Lighter was used at one time and is approx.  2 1/4 x 2" in size. It has never been used or even tested by me and or never cleaned, it just has been displayed in different display cases through out my father having it then passed on to me. People may ask why get rid of something like this and the truth of the matter is between what I have collected related to Ford over my lifetime and what my father has collected, stored and hidden, well some day it would probably take the rest of my lifetime to just get rid of the his collection!
