Antique English Carved Tiger Oak Aneroid Barometer by Jackson of Southsea 11.5".

Circa 1890.

A superb English Victorian carved tiger oak aneroid barometer.

The barometer case has been beautifully carved as can be seen from the photographs. The case is superb quality and is approximately 2 inches (5. cm) thick.

The porcelain china dial to this is beautifully marked with the weather conditions and red letters have been incorporated at the beginning of the words.Made by Jackson of Southsea.

 There is an anchor decoration to the center of the dial and has a blued steel finger and brass finger to mark the change in weather. Also over the dial is a lovely piece of bevelled glass which sets it off beautifully.

A very unique bespoke made late 19th Century barometer.

In excellent condition.
Measures 11.5"across and has a depth of 2".
 The barometer glass has a 6.5" diameter.

In overall very good condition with minor wear and tear commensurate with age and use..etc.

 Weighs 2.184 kilos unwrapped.
