Hijack

Born in 1992 in California, Hijack is a contemporary art prodigy whose work is a revelation in street art - his pieces are imaginative, brilliantly constructed and seen in cultural hot spots all over the globe, from Los Angeles to London.

Hijack has street art in his blood; he is the son of infamous pop artist, Mr. Brainwash, and he grew up around renowned street artists such as Space Invader, Bansky, and Shepard Fairey. As he's evolved as an artist, Hijack has found his own voice and has crafted a persona, inspired by the spirit of music and the poetry of everyday moments, that creates colorful and meaningful perspectives on life.

In 2013, Hijack took the UK art scene by storm with his gallery debut at the prestigious Mead Carney Fine Art Gallery on Dover street in London. The highly anticipated show was sold out before being extended. He was subsequently featured in publications such as Art of England, Huffington Post UK, The Art Newspaper, and the Telegraph.

The momentum of Hijack's initial success has made him a contemporary art phenomenon; he has exhibited world wide and has collaborated with some of contemporary art's most renowned street artist such as NY's Cope and Japan's Dragon 76. Currently Hijack is based in Los Angeles where he continues to push the boundaries of contemporary art.

Pablo Picasso was born in Málaga, Spain, the first child of José Ruiz y Blasco and María Picasso y López. He was christened with the names Pablo, Diego, José, Francisco de Paula, Juan Nepomuceno, Maria de los Remedios, and Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad. Picasso's father was Jose Ruíz, a painter whose specialty was the naturalistic depiction of birds and who for most of his life was also a professor of art at the School of Crafts and a curator of a local museum. The young Picasso showed a passion and a skill for drawing from an early age; according to his mother, his first word was "piz," a shortening of lápiz, the Spanish word for pencil. It was from his father that Picasso had his first formal academic art training, such as figure drawing and painting in oil. Although Picasso attended art schools throughout his childhood, often those where his father taught, he never finished his college-level course of study at the Academy of Arts (Academia de San Fernando) in Madrid, leaving after less than a year. Pablo Picasso died on April 8, 1973 in Mougins, France, while he and his wife Jacqueline entertained friends for dinner. His final words were "Drink to me, drink to my health, you know I can't drink any more." He was interred at Castle Vauvenargues' park, in Vauvenargues, Bouches-du-Rhône. Jacqueline Roque prevented his children Claude and Paloma from attending the funeral.
