Here on offer is a rare antique Queen Victoria, pewter Diamond Jubilee Medal, 1897

This medal was made in pewter to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond jubilee.

The medal has a draped bust of Victoria facing left. Around the edge, the legend reads:

IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 60TH YEAR OF

QUEEN VICTORIA'S REIGN

1897

The obverse features the Royal Coat of Arms surrounded with symbols of state. The legend reads:

DIAMOND JUBILEE

The medal is in used condition with a hole pierced to ease the owners being able to wear the medal. Please study the photos. It measures approx. 4cm in diameter.

This Jubilee commemorative is rather rare and not often encountered.

This would make a great addition to a themed collection.
