This machine was purchased new at Ippinkan in 1992. Shortly after I bought it, I got so busy with work that I couldn't find time to enjoy audio. Yes, I think the operating time of this machine is about 2 to 300 hours in total. (I don't know exactly...)

■CD drive unit LHH1001

■LHH-1001
・There is no problem with basic operations such as opening and closing the disc tray, playing discs, and operating the buttons on the main unit. (Because the belt was replaced with a new one, it is working fine.)
・I confirmed that there is signal output for both optical and coaxial by connecting to a D/A converter.
・Because the D/A converter was placed on top of this unit, there are many stains on the top plate that may have occurred when the equipment was replaced. (If you put it in a rack or put other audio equipment on top of this unit, it will disappear.)
・Some dirts are seen in the front panel. In particular, the dirt on the curved part between the top plate and the front panel is a little conspicuous.
・There are no noticeable scratches or stains on the side panel or back panel.
■LHH-1003
・Some buttons do not respond.
・Buttons (play/stop/fast-forward/fast-rewind/track buttons, etc.) used when playing a CD can be used normally.
・If no operation continues for about 10 seconds, the LCD display will disappear and you will not be able to operate. In that case, you can operate it again by removing and inserting the battery.
・The battery leaked because it was stored for a long time with the battery installed. I cleaned the inside of the battery box and it is now usable, but it is difficult to put in and take out two of the four batteries used in this machine, which are placed in the back of the battery box. The battery box is cramped, probably because it's caught on something, and when you put it in, you feel like you're pushing it in, and when you take it out, you feel like you're pulling it out with your fingers or needle nose pliers. ・Since it was put in a vinyl protective case, the surface is relatively clean, but the back is a little dirty due to the effects of liquid leakage.
- Functions other than CD operation (learning function, etc.) have not been confirmed.
[Regarding maintenance before exhibition]
・ After disassembling to the mechanical base
(1) Degrease all pulleys.
(2) All rubber belts (2 trays, 2 disc clamps) were replaced with new ones. (In particular, the two belts on which torque is applied are slightly thicker than the other belts.)
・Cleaned the pickup lens.
*The belt needs to be replaced periodically. (This is the 4th belt replacement since we purchased it.) In my opinion, the trick to prolonging the life of the belt is to avoid high temperatures as much as possible and move it frequently.
