On offer here is a Double LP of The Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan. 

 

 

This version was released on the Decca label and is a Stereo version. The catalogue numbers are SKL 5158-9. The performance on these records does not include the dialogue.

 

The performers were the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Royston Nash andthe D’Oyly Carte Chorus with Chorus Master William F Cowley.

 

 

Individual (noted) performers were - John Reed, John Ayldon, Colin Wright, Kenneth Sanford, Michael Rayner, John Broad, Valerie Masterson, Peggy Ann Jones, Pauline Wales, and Lindsie Holland.

 

 

 

The vinyl is in EX to NM condition. The gatefold sleeve would be in EX condition,were it not for a 6cm tear on the sleeve opening which has been repaired with tape. There are 4 tickets taped to the inside of the gatefold from two performances of the Opera. There are also 3 crosses written in pen in the top right hand corner.
