The coin of is dedicated to BISON BONASUS, an almost completely annihilated representative of the artiodactila species in the fauna of Ukraine who has been successfully bred and settled in Ukraine since 1965. The bison is on the endangered-species list of Ukraine, the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources and Europe.
