Beautiful French glass clock with facet cut glass. The clock has a week movement with striking mechanism on the whole and half hours on a bell.

The pendulum has two glass tubes filled with mercury to compensate for temperature differences.

The enamel dial and the timepiece bear the maker's signature: F. Schlesicky Paris and Frankfurt a/d Main. This clockmaker was born in 1816. The clock is from a later period (+/- 1900) and made by a son Gustav. The family continued to use the F.Schlesicky name on their products.
