From the Meiji period to the end of World War II, a number of products were manufactured by Morimura-gumi and Nippon Toki Gomei Kaisha (now Noritake). Many of these products were exported across the sea, mainly to the United States, where they were well received for their unique beauty and elaborate, gorgeous decorations that combined Western design styles and Japanese aesthetic sensibilities. The pieces eventually came to be known as "Old Noritake" and are still collected and cherished by avid collectors today.

The Homage Collection is a series that was created as a tribute to Old Noritake, the origin of Noritake design.

明治期から第二次世界大戦終結までに、森村組及び日本陶器合名会社（現ノリタケ）によって製造された製品の数々。その多くは海を渡って主にアメリカに輸出され、西洋のデザイン様式と日本の美意識が融合した、独特の美しさや手の込んだ豪華な装飾で好評を博しました。そしてやがて「オールドノリタケ」と呼ばれるようになり、今現在も熱心なコレクターたちにより蒐集され、大切にされています。そんなノリタケデザインの原点ともいえるオールドノリタケへのオマージュとして誕生したシリーズ、それが「THE HOMAGE COLLECTION オマージュ コレクション」です。

Old Noritake is the origin of Noritake design. Among them are a number of works that are called masterpieces. Noritake designs skillfully incorporated the design styles popular in Europe and the United States at the time, such as Art Nouveau and Art Deco, and perfected unique designs with the delicate sensibility and handwork unique to the Japanese. The elegance of Noritake's designs has been passed down to the present day.

THE HOMAGE COLLECTION HOMAGE COLLECTION" is a collection of coffee cups that is a modern interpretation of Old Noritake's masterpiece designs and has been breathed into new life as a collection of coffee cups.

ノリタケデザインの原点ともいえるオールドノリタケ。その中には名品と呼ばれる作品の数々が存在します。アールヌーボーやアールデコといった、当時欧米で流行していたデザイン様式を巧みに取り入れ、日本人ならではの繊細な感性と手仕事で、独特のデザインを完成させていったノリタケのデザイン。そのエレガンスは現代にも確実に受け継がれています。
