Game Worn by #42!
THIS IS SOLD IN GAME- USED CONDITION!
It is SOLD AS-IS, although it is still in excellent / game worn and handled condition, the cap is Dirty and fully intact. There is aging and yellowing underneath along the bindings and the inside brim shows some dirt as well (as pictured!). It has been well handled but all the tagging and original printing is there and has the number on the inner brim in black marker, as shown.
It was issued to and game worn by #42 sometime from the mid-1980s until that number was retired (to honor JACKIE ROBINSON) in 1996. Players who wore #42 for the White Sox during that period included former Rookie of the Year Ron Kittle, plus Jack Perconte, Tom Drees, Dale Sveum, Rodney Bolton, Paul Assenmaker and Scott Ruffcorn.
It is all black, has the traditional white interlocking 'SOX' logo and it has an all black top brim. It has a MLB 'Batter in a Box' logo tag on the reverse. Inside is the New Era tagging, says Size 7, 100% Wool and has the MLB Licensed Diamond Collection tag as well.
Under the brim in black sharpie marker it says '42'.
It is SOLD AS-IS/ GAME WORN CONDITION, it is still in excellent condition, the baseball cap is ready to display or wear!
