Maitland's plans, engraved by Benjamin Cole, were largely adapted from John Strype's earlier set of 1720 and the illustrations were copied largely from Perspective Views of all the Ancient Churches, and other Buildings, in the Cities of London and Westminster. Engraved by William Henry Toms, and published by Robert Sayer 1736 - 1739.
