* PHOTOGRAPHER INFORMATION: ANDRE DE DIENES - December 18, 1913 - April 11, 1985 - Andre de Dienes was born in Transylvania now Romania. Andre studied art & photography in Paris & by 1938 he emigrated to the USA & settled in New York to work for Esquire, Vogue, Life & Montgomery Ward. Andre moved to California to pursue his real passion photographing nudes & outdoor scenes. Andre became one of Hollywood's most acclaimed photographers & for his beautiful photographs of Marilyn Monroe. De Dienes captured Marilyn on film throughout her entire career, from Norma Jean to the Hollywood legend. From Marilyn's first photo session in 1945 until her death in 1962, the star & her photographer shared a unique & loving relationship.
