Check out this original production cel from The Flintstones over 56 years old

The cel, short for celluloid, is the final step in the creation of characters for an animated film or television show. Each production cel is a hand-painted work of art on a clear sheet of acetate (usually 10-1/2" x 12-1/2”). These cels are one-of-a-kind pieces, which, when photographed and replayed sequentially, create animated motion.

These cartoons are an American legacy. Their characters still move talk sing and dance on film it just as their talented masters created them. But what is increasingly prized by collectors is the individual image, a fleeting moment drawn by the animator and preserved on a cell. Here the character, inked in outline, painted by hand in vivid color and frozen in an expressive moment of action, reveals the true art of the animator.

My unique collection comes from my grandmother who worked for Hanna-Barbera Productions in Burbank, California in the 1960's and 1970’s. She saved a handful of these items and gave them to her grandchildren to collect. I have kept these safe in storage for several decades.

I ship my items with a durable backing board packaged inside a polyethylene bag and then sandwich in cardboard and shipped in a flat envelope. USA shipping only. I ship USPS Priority Mail.

From online about The Flintstones:

This popular animated television cartoon featured two Stone Age families, the Flintstones and their neighbors, the Rubbles. Much of the humor was based on its comic portrayals of modern conveniences, reinterpreted using Stone Age 'technology.' Most notably were their cars, complete with absence of floorboards to allow them to be 'foot-powered.'

The Flintstones is an American animated sitcom produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions. The series takes place in a romanticized Stone Age setting and follows the activities of the titular family, the Flintstones, and their next-door neighbors, the Rubbles. It was originally broadcast on ABC from September 30, 1960, to April 1, 1966, and was the first animated series to hold a prime-time slot on television.

This is the ultimate Flintstones item and would make the perfect gift. Get this while you still can! This is a must have for the Hanna-Barbera Fred Flintstone collector
