I have to confess I was a bit nervous about watching Denis Villeneuve's rendition of Dune. I loved the original movie from 1984, it was as cheesy as hell but it had some fantastic acting, VERY impressive visual effects for its day and Toto just nailed the soundtrack. So when I heard a new version was coming out, and knowing that movies these days are basically just vehicles for spreading political propaganda (usually at the expense of story, characterisations and just about anything else), I was worried it would join the long and growing list of iconic franchises to be defiled by 'Wokeness (TM)'.

As it turns out.... I was wrong. It was bloody good. Very much looking forward to Part 2, coming out in 2023.

Therefore it was time to add Dune to my ever growing library of cosplay badges/insignia/etc. I present to you the insignia of House Atreides, worn on the collar of the House's martial uniform in the 2022 movie. This is a set of two (one for each side, obviously), printed in shiny, SHINY gold PLA biopolymer and held in place with the usual pins and caps.
