An extremely rare and much sought after original 1980 Joy Division Record shop poster.

This was used to promote the second and final album Closer by Joy Division - FACT25 released July 18, 1980 on Factory, two months following the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis.
The album was recorded from 18 to 30 March 1980 at Britannia Row Studios, Islington, London.
The cover photo is a detail of the Appiani family tomb in the Staglieno Cemetery in Genova, Italy.
The sculpture was made by Demetrio Paernio.

Poster is in very good condition for its age with just some very minor creases as can be seen in the pictures.

Size is approx. 35.5” x 25” inches and looks stunning now that I have had it professionally framed.

Very hard to find item, and a must have poster for the Joy Division / Ian Curtis collectors out there.

I am also selling a lot of other Joy Division, Sex Pistols and other classic Punk posters on eBay at the moment!
