Class 37 Hauled No. 18

DVD No. 18 includes:

North Wales:
A typical day of Class 37 hauled trains on the coast from 22nd November 1995, with six locos and six diagrams - roughly an hourly all-day service between Crewe and Bangor. 37402, 37408, 37414, 37417, 37418 and 37425 are featured plus 37087 on a ballast. Footage from Rhyl, Abergele and Llandudno Junction.

Preservation: A feature on 'Dutch' liveried 37250. During one of the June 2022 running days, we caught up with this loco at the Wensleydale Railway, with footage from the lineside and delightful stations.

37508/37606: An update on the return-to-service of 37606. Located at the Nemesis site at Burton, during the autumn, the loco was reunited with the correct set of CP7 bogies and work on the body has seen the reinstatement of the correct 'fish face' ends. The loco will return as 37508 in 2023.

37901: After 24-years away, 37901 returned to the main line in summer 2022. Footage here includes working for ROG, a guest appearance at the Dean Forest Railway, working with Loram and 37418 on a wagon move and them - possibly the most bizarre working of the year - 37901+37418 hauling/pushing saloon 'Caroline' around the North East! Welcome back 37901!

Summer/Autumn 2022: A mixed bag of 37-action filmed countrywide including 37706 on The Dalesman; various WCRC 37s on Railtours including 37516+37676 to Blackpool South; 37403 and 37418 on tours; 97s to Pwllheli; 97304 with a weedkiller train; 37688+37521 to Paignton; 37116+37421 on the lesser seen Scottish IM circuit; 37521+37667 to Oban and Mallaig; various ROG 37s on EMU moves; RHTT action from York-based locos from October; 37668 works a Swindon-based RHTT; more from 37422+37425 from Easter in Scotland and 37401+37422 ballast drop on the Far North Line.
