Very nice mint 1999 CASE 20TH CENTURY VINTAGE STAG V51549L COPPERLOCK KNIFE - 12/31/99 OVAL SHIELD ONLY 115. This knife has the Case 1999 tang stamp. The tang stamp consists of 0 X's" and 1 "dot". The knife is 4 1/8" long when closed. The Case pattern number is CA09873.
The handles are a very pretty GENUINE STAG WITH LOTS OF CHARACTER. THE BLADE IS STAINLESS STEEL. This knife has the OVAL SHIELD ON THE REAR HANDLE THAT IS DATE 12/31/99. It also has nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. THIS WAS THE LAST SHIPMENT OF THE 20TH CENTURY THAT LEFT BRADFORD, PENNSYLVANIA FRIDAY DECEMBER 31, 1999 BOUND FOR SHEPHERD HILLS CUTLERY IN LEBANON MISSOURI. THERE IS A SPECIAL POSTCARD THAT WAS POSTMARKED DECEMBER 31, 1999 - SHEPHERD HILLS STATION - BRADFORD, PA. 16701. EACH CASE KNIFE PATTERN HAS A DIFFERENT $.33 CENT STAMP THAT WAS ALSO MADE FOR EACH KNIFE. THIS KNIFE WAS HAS THE "LASERS" STAMP. THIS IS A VERY RARE CASE KNIFE AS THERE WERE ONLY 115 PRODUCED. IF YOU ARE A CASE KNIFE COLLECTOR THIS IS A HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE KNIFE. YOU WILL RECEIVE THE KNIFE IN THE FACTORY BOX WITH PAPERS PLUS THE SPECIAL POSTCARD THAT IS A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY FOR THE KNIFE. THIS KNIFE WAS ITEM #175 ON THE POSTCARD. ON THE FRONT OF THE POSTCARD IS W. R. CASE & SONS CUTLERY CO. AND IT SAYS LAST SHIPMENT OF THE 20TH CENTURY AND ON THE REAR OF THE POSTCARD OUTLINES THE QUANTITY PRODUCED OF EACH KNIFE.
