HumidiCup S1 is an electronic cigar humidifier automatically keep cigars in desired humidity in a humidor. S1 is similar as M1 but with low profile cartridge for desktop humidors up to 3 cubic feet size with 100 cigar capacity. The humidity inside the humidor is measured by a built-in high accurate digital sensor. The micro-processor controls the quiet fan to run to blow moist airflow into the humidor according to the measured humidity value. The humidifier is factory set at 70% and can be adjusted from 60% to 80% by user to best taste. -5~+5 calibration date can be set by user.

Q1, Why dose the fan stop working?
A1, The fan stops when the measured environmental humidity reaches the setting value or is higher than the setting value and runs when the environmental humidity is lower than the setting value.
Q2, How to install the humidifier?
A2, Fill cartridge with CLEAN WATER until sponge is saturated. Pour out excess water from cartridge. Push the control unit until it clicks into place with alignment marks are aligned.
Q3, How often to add water to S1 for a table humidor?
A3, Normally once a month and depends on the size, sealing status of humidor and environmental humidity.
Q4, Can the Humidifiers be used with moisturizing liquid?
A4, No, only CLEAN WATER can be used. Please DO NOT use any other chemical liquid that could damage the humidity sensor or cause an unrecoverable drift.
Q5, Can the Humidifiers be used with a battery?
A5, The humidifiers can be used with a 5V external battery BUT most cellphone power banks with low current shut-down function will shut down when the fan stops.
Q6, Why does my S1(or M1) indicate 'H2O' however the cartridge is full of water?
A6, 'H2O' indicates 'lack of water' when the measured humidity value is continuously 10% at least lower than the setting humidity value for two hours. If the humidor is too big, or not sealed well, or with cooling function and the humidifiers are not enough to raise the humidity to close to setting value for two hours, the humidifier could alarm for 'lack of water' . We got this issue reported mostly from a cooled cabinet humidor application. Adding more M1 humidifiers to expand the humidification capability normally can resolve the issue.
Q7, Can the humidor be sealed well with the power cord?
A7, The thin paper ribbon cable be used for passing through the seam of the lid and keep air-tightness.
Q8, How to place the humidifier(s) in a humidor?
A8, Make sure the air paths of the humidifier is not blocked. It is recommended the humidifier to be placed with the LED up toward. Keep at least two inches clearance from the side air outlet of humidifier to the cigars or walls of the humidor and at least 0.2 inch clearance from the top air inlet of humidifier to the lid. For cabinet application, it is recommended to place the humidifier at the center of the top shelve and if there is second humidifier, to place the second one on the center of the middle shelve.
Q9, How to make sure the hygrometer of the  humidifier is accurate?
A9, Remove the cartridge and put the white control unit (hygrometer) with another hygrometer you are sure its accuracy together on the table. Compare the displayed humidity value of them after one hour. Stay at least two feet away from them and DO NOT touch them by your hands during the test.

Installation
STEP 1
Fill CLEAN WATER in cartridge slowly until sponge inside is fully saturated. Power out excess water from cartridge and wipe dry outsides.
STEP 2
Locate the control unit to cartridge and make sure the align marks aligned.
STEP 3
Connect the power cord and ribbon cable to the humidifier and plug the adapter to wall outlet.
STEP 4
Set desired humidity value then put it in suitable position of humidor.
