Condition: Two volumes bound in full leather with sumptuous gilt decoration on the covers, spines, and dentelle border on the inside cover, with minor edge and corner wear, Volume 2 has a small area of surface wear to the lower back cover that does not affect the gilt--see photo. Endpapers have a soft purple marbling pattern. Fully illustrated with tissue guards. Many/most pages remain uncut along fore-edge. Interiors remain neat and clean. Bindings are firm.

A beautiful set that is as much a joy to behold as it is to hold. Visually pleasing and wonderfully tactile!
