The commemorative 500 hryvnia banknote of the 2015 model was put into circulation for the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hryhoriy Skovoroda - a unique, extraordinary, bright personality, whose work remains relevant throughout the ages. Everyone who has read the works of Hryhoriy Savych perceives him not only as a traveling philosopher, writer, and historian, but also as a person who inspires many generations to actions and actions, and his creative output "becomes a tool of various ideas and views." The philosopher believed that the most important thing in life is the feeling of freedom: "What is freedom? What is the good in it? They say it turns golden? No, it's not a zloty: having equalized all the zloty, it's just a quagmire against freedom. Oh, if I were not to be fooled, So that I could not remain without freedom..." [poem "De libertate" ("On freedom")]. Today, the whole world sees what Ukrainians are capable of in order to protect their freedom, for which the Ukrainian people pay a very high price!
