Handmade bath soak teabags with 100% natural oats inside. In our house we affectionately call these 'oat bombs'.

Simply throw one of these in the bath while the water is running. It may need a few squeezes to agitate the oats to turn the water milky. As the oat bomb soaks in the water, the oats inside swell and soften. The oat bomb can then be used as a sponge, releasing the milky, moisturising properties directly onto the skin.

The oat bombs are handmade using nylon. I have found this material to be the most effective and softest option for these oat bombs (especially important for when they are to be used like a sponge. This material keeps the oats close together (again, great for the sponging) and is unlikely to burst open, or allow the oats themselves to escape into the bath water. The material is washed first in a non-bio powder and dermatologically tested fabric conditioner.

These are perfect for sufferers of skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Oats have long been renowned for their skin soothing and moisturising properties.

There are 3 oat bombs provided.

As you can see from the images, I have a large 'P shaped' bath and the size provided is ample.

My story:

My eczema journey started when my son was 8 weeks old. Throughout his infancy, it was so severe that I didn't know what to do with him most days.

Luckily, as he has grown up, his eczema has reduced in severity. This, along with the care of a Consultant Dermatologist, and admittedly steroids, has meant that his skin is much easier to manage.

We have always used bath emollients (in the form of oils). These caused various problems - slippy bath, slippy baby and the need to clean the bath to remove to residue every day. Last year, a BBC News article also stated that studies had found these to be ineffective (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-43964337). When my GP surgery stopped prescribing the bath oils due to the research cited in the article, I knew I needed to find another option.

I have been using these with my son for a few months now. Although they haven't been transformational in terms of his skin, I do believe he has fewer flare ups and is less itchy after his bath. I am much more comfortable using a natural product, too.

Not only this, but they're a great treat for me, too!
