This is an ex-demo pedal in perfect condition and working order but does NOT include the original box.

Please Note: it has a strip of velcro on the underside where it was located on a pedal board in the shop.

The Pigtronix PBC Philosopher Bass Compressor is a clever analogue compressor for your bass guitar with tube emulation for extra warmth. Place it in front of your transistor preamp or DI Box and this pedal will give your bass a tight, deep, organic sound that ranges form a light raw edge to a heavy shred. Often, compressor pedals will steal some of your low, which is why not too many bassists are fans of them. But, Pigtronix PBC has developed a special feature that prevents any loss of low tones! The pedal works well as an overdrive but can also be used in a studio setting to create a warm tube amp kind of sound.

The Philosopher Bass Compressor makes use of a unique concept that increases the effect as you continue to strike the strings. This results in an extremely dynamic and expressive effect. Turn the compression knob clockwise to adjust the mix of clean and affected signal. This makes it possible to blend a little compression into your sound. A Grit switch makes this pedal even more versatile, as it allows you to adjust the gain structure as well. The PBC Philosophers Bass Compressor by Pigtronix works on a 9V battery, but comes complete with an 18V adapter for superior headroom, clarity, and a more powerful output signal.

Shipping Information

For small parcels (up to around 2Kg in weight) we use Royal Mail 24 or 48 which are barcoded and traceable. For larger packages we use a courier service such as DPD. If you buy several items from us we calculate the postage and packing cost by taking the highest delivery cost first (usually the heaviest/biggest item) and then adding the cost per additional item for all the smaller items.

Unless you order a large quantity of heavy/bulky items (exceeding 20Kg) the maximum delivery charge is normally &10.00. All the delivery prices listed in Ebay for courier service are for UK mainland ONLY and does NOT include the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight or the Channel Islands.

We endeavour to despatch goods within 1 day of receiving payment in full.

We only ship on Weekdays unless it is urgent and by prior arrangement (please contact us if you require something urgently).

Our delivery costs reflect the cost of packaging materials, postage costs and transport to the Post Office. We believe our delivery charges are reasonable, if you are not happy with our delivery charges please do not make a purchase.

All purchases may be collected in person at no charge from our Margate Warehouse during normal office hours.

Returns Policy

Should you need to return your item for a refund or replacement you must return it within 14 days in an unused condition with all original packaging for a replacement or refund of the original purchase price.

PLEASE NOTE: Some items are exempt from the Distance Selling Regulations. These include any and all items that would be considered unhygienic once used such as earphones and earplugs. Other exclusions are personalised, bespoke or goods made to a customer's specifications such as cut cable which cannot be rejoined to the original drum.

We retain the right under the law to charge a re-stocking fee of 20% under certain circumstances. If items are returned and cannot be sold as 'NEW' then the re-stocking fee covers the loss in re-selling the item as 'USED' or 'B STOCK' and re-packaging. Restocking fees may be charged when merchandise is returned in an unsealed or open box, in a badly damaged box, or without the original box it came in. Restocking fees may also be charged if merchandise is returned without all the original packaging, instructions, and accessories.

Due to the Increase in Scams We now log all security numbers and security mark all high-value items. Anyone found scamming (returning items bought from other sellers) will be reported to the Police and Ebay. This will not affect genuine buyers in any way.

Items faulty within 14 days will be treated as DOA (dead on arrival) and we will replace faulty goods for a brand new replacement, all delivery costs incurred in putting right a DOA item will be covered by Worldwide Music.

After 14 days the procedure is for goods to be returned to the manufacturer for repair under the terms of warranty, who in some instances may choose to replace the item rather than repair it, this is at the discretion of the manufacturer.

You must ship the goods back to us (or direct to the manufacturer to save time) at your own expense and we will then ensure the goods are repaired or replaced and sent back to you.
