This iPod is in great used condition. There is very minimal signs of use on the corners, and there is no paint fading, rubbing, or distress. It's been carefully restored including adding a Taptic Engine from an iPhone 7, 256GB Micro SD, and a brand new 750mah battery. The screen has good contrast still, backlight is strong, and all in all it's a nicely restored iPod!
Note: A 1,300 mah battery cannot physically fit in the casing of an ipod mini. They are usually 500mah batteries with a new sticker put on it. These 750mah batteries are made by a reputable company.
The taptic engine is (subjectively) an improvement over the somewhat jarring internal speaker. Instead of the ticking click sound, you'll have haptic feedback with a very low, deeper sound. It will vibrate when the speaker would normally have been activated, and otherwise it lays dormant.
It has had the following modifications and maintenance performed:
* Internal speakers replaced with an iPhone 7 Taptic Engine - You'll feel it when you scroll
* Stock battery replaced with a 750mah Cameron Sino brand battery
* Microdrive replaced with a 256gb SDXC card in a Compact Flash adapter
* Thorough inspection and cleaning of the housing, logic board, clickwheel, screen, and retention brackets
I format these for PC by default, but I can format it for mac if you'd prefer. There is also an initial delay on startup as it goes through a much larger track library but once it boots up it responds normally. It happens with any large flash modded iPod.
