NOS (new old stock) purchased as a lot from a local machine shop.
Once you receive them they should be wiped clean and oiled with lite oil such as 3in1 or similar, wipe the mating edges with your finger, close the caliper and adjust the dial so that the needle lines up exactly with the zero. To turn the dial loosen the thumb screw on the lower right side then rotate dial. Once aligned lightly snug the thumb screw and your good to go.
