The book cover is green faux leather, with gilt tooling and gold leaf page edging. It is generally in very good condition. However there is a small area on a number of pages at the back of the book, which may have been subject to damp. These pages have lost the gilt on the page edges and the corner of the pages are wavy, rather than completely flat - see image 4.
