Dandelion root, derived from the common dandelion plant (Taraxacum officinale), is a versatile herb with a long history of use in traditional medicine and culinary practices. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, dandelion root offers numerous potential health benefits.

To prepare dandelion root tea, you'll need approximately 1-2 tsps of the roots and about 200-250ml of boiling water. Let the tea steep for 10-15 minutes to allow the hot water to extract the beneficial compounds. After steeping, strain the tea to remove the dandelion root particles, and then enjoy it warm. Dandelion root tea has a slightly earthy and nutty flavor with subtle bitter undertones, which some may find pleasant on its own, while others may prefer to sweeten it with honey or add a splash of milk.
