This antique Chinese silver filigree and ox bone scrimshaw
bracelet is a beautiful example of traditional Chinese craftsmanship. The
centerpiece of the bracelet features an intricate filigree design, framed by
two panels on either side. The scrimshaw, which is most likely made from ox
bone, depicts birds and flower motifs which are highly faded and worn, and in
some cases completely lost. Partial Asian writing is still legible on two of
the panels. The bracelet is unmarked, 7 inches (15.24 cm) in length, and is secured by a working
ornate box clasp. A perfect piece of history to add to your collection.
