Hakko FR300 With Custom Made Stand Extra Tip And Ceramic Filter Paper.

Bought this a couple of years ago. I have been taking great care of it and even replaced the heating element, the plastic tank, and added a new rubber seal the tank sits on. I custom made a holder for it that is a Hakko 633 iron holder. I used a rubber vacuum hose split in two to go around the cleaner bin:). The main cause of damage to the tip is when you are returning to the stand. When you go to scrap the tip you can miss and hit the sharp edge of the cleaner can. This will brake the coating causing the tip to die. Another “tip” is to never rotate around a leg you are desoldering because that will damage the tip. If you do have to rotate around a lead, just do it easily. The tips are $20 a pop, so just be mindful of not hitting it or scraping it on anything. Another thing is cleaning the gun. I would recommend watching a crap load of YouTube videos before you take it on. Just use your head and take it slow. Once you get it all down it will become second nature. This iron is in tip top shape. Vacuum pump and housing is fully functional. I will leave the heat setting on what I use so you will have a good idea. I am going to clean the gun and the pump one last time. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I only want this to be a successful purchase for you and I do not mind explaining things. I am only selling this because I stepped up to the bad boy FM-2024 to use with my FM-203 station. Thanks👊
